Tableau Server Named Washington Technology Industry Association’s Business Product of the Year

SEATTLE, Wash. – February 8, 2007 – Tableau Software®, the global leader in fast analytics and visualization software, today announced that its Tableau Server has been honored as the Business Product of the Year by the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) as part of its 13th annual Industry Achievement Awards. This is the second win in three years for Tableau and the third straight year Tableau has been honored as a finalist. The awards recognize local companies, agencies and individuals who best demonstrate innovation and excellence in creating technology or serving the industry.

“Our technology community is full of inspiring innovators who will truly change how we live in the decades to come,” said Ken Myer, president and CEO of the Washington Technology Industry Association. “We are honored to host the Industry Achievement Awards each year to recognize these important people, who help make the Pacific Northwest such a leader in the technology industry today.”

Tableau’s award-winning visual analysis software connects directly to a wide assortment of data sources allowing users to express complex data relationships through engaging and easy-to-understand visualizations with drag-and-drop ease. Tableau Server, the company’s newest product offering, extends these analytical capabilities to the Web, enabling entire organizations to share, discover and participate with their data via a Web browser.

“Tableau believes that any employee across any organization—regardless of skill level or company size—should be able to quickly and effectively analyze data, and we’re honored that the Washington Technology Industry Association has recognized us for our software that helps to achieve this vision,” said Elissa Fink, VP, Marketing for Tableau. “We look forward to the continued success of Tableau Server and expect that this is the first of many accolades it will receive.”
