tableau for teaching

Tableau Software enthusiastically supports the academic community that is focused on teaching skills around data analysis, informatics, and information visualization. We work with professors in a variety of academic programs including business administration, management science, computer science, and information technology.

The Tableau For Teaching program (formerly known as the Tableau University Consortium) is our way of providing Tableau support for academic instruction. The program is designed to support both instructors and their students in the following ways:

  • provide software tools for use in course work (pro bono)
  • deliver guest lectures via the web
  • assist with data sets and course assignments

Tableau’s people are leading experts in the field of data visualization. They include a co-founder and chief architect of Pixar Animation, a two-time Academy Award winner, university professors, and the researcher who coined the phrase “Information Visualization.”
