Download Instructions for Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server

1. Log into the Tableau Software Account Portal. new

Log in to your account using your email address and password.

If you have not received your login information, please contact the Tableau Customer Service Team at customerservice@tableausoftware.com.

2. Click the My Product Keys link.

Click the My Product Keys link in the list.

3. Copy the product key for the Tableau product you are installing.

Select and copy the product key of interest in the list.

4. Click the Back button on your browser and then click the My Downloads link.

Click the My Downloads link to view the product downloads.

5. Click the Download link for the product you want to install.

6. Depending on your browser, do one of the following:

Internet Explorer
In the subsequent dialog box, click Save and then select a location to save to.

Select save and then select where to save to.

Mozilla Firefox
In the subsequent dialog box, select Save File.

7. When the download finishes, double-click the install file to begin the installation. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the product.

8. When you're done installing you will need to activate and register the product. Click Activate the product.

Click the Activate the product to enter a product key and register.

9. Click into the text box and press Ctrl + V on your keyboard to paste your product key. You can also right-click in the text box and select Paste. When finished, click Activate. Refer to steps 1-3 above if you need to re-copy your product key.

Paste your product key into the appropriate text box.

NOTE: If you are working offline, please refer to the Offline Activation Help page for information on how to activate.

10. Click Register Now to continue to registration.

11. Register the product by typing your Name, Company, Email address, and any other necessary information. Then click Register.

Enter the information necessary to register the product.

12. When registration is sucessful, click Continue to start using the product. If you are install Tableau Server, refer to the Administrator Guide for more detailed instructions on installing and setting up the server.
