Quick Steps for Loading the Stored Procedure

In order to connect to a Caché database using Tableau Desktop you or your database administrator must first load the above stored procedure into your database. Follow the brief instructions below or download more detailed instructions.

  1. 1. Download the the XML file listed above and copy it to the Caché server.
  2. 2. Start Caché Studio at the server from the Cube in the system tray.
  3. 3. Within Studio, select Tools > Import Local.
  4. 4. In the subsequent dialog box select the XML file.
  5. 5. In the Import dialog box, make sure both the class name TableauFuncs and the Compile Imported option are selected.
  6. 6. Click OK.
