Managing Large Numbers of Worksheets
It's really easy to end up with many dozens of worksheets in a Tableau workbook. The slide sorter view is a great way to find a specific sheet, but when you have a large number and many of them have a similar look it can be a bit of a challenge.
What about supporting a tree structure organization of the worksheets and dashboards, where users can choose to set up a 'folder' hierarchy for the worksheets and then optionally include or exclude folders in the active worksheet list? That way, groups of related sheets could be assigned to the same 'folder', and 'folders' could be hidden from view when not needed. Only the currently-visible worksheets and dashboards would be displayed inthe tabs at the bottom of the screen. When the user wants to expand or hide folders they would click on a button (akin to how the slide viewer/sorter is accessed) and then the full tree could be displayed, akin to the display format used in Windows Explorer and many other 'collapsible tree' views.
